Orange Lake Resorts was built on a rich history of individuals dedicated to exceeding the expectations of its owners and guests, as well as being active members in the local communities we serve.
This three-decade legacy of strong family and community values began with the philanthropic efforts of our founder and flagship resort in Orlando, Florida. One of the longest-running relationships has been with the Kissimmee, Florida-based Give Kids the World. In 1984, our founder Kemmons Wilson assisted with the development and opening of a “Kids Village” designed exclusively to provide memorable “Wish Trips” for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
Today, through the support of Orange Lake Resorts, employees routinely volunteer their time to assist and serve for various needs of the Village, ask for donations from new owners during our sales process and provide and co-host the annual Give Kids the World fundraising golf event on our premier golf course and other smaller fundraisers. To-date, we've raised more than $1.5 million.
In 2011, we were also very proud to receive an ARDA Ace Philanthropic Award, among the highest honors to receive within the timeshare industry.
